The Japanese Garden in St. Mawgan is about 1.5 miles from the North Coast of Cornwall and under a mile North of Newquay Airport and is an oasis of tranquillity in the bottom of the Vale of Lanherne.

The Gardens are created in accordance and philosophy of the East and offer both a spiritual and physical experience seldom found in the West. The gardens include Water Garden, Strolls Garden and Zen Garden, together with a Bamboo Grove, Buddha, Moss garden, seating and "mountain" areas together with a traditional tea house with a decking area overlooking the lake with Koi, and waterfalls.

There is also a Japanese Garden Nursery offering for sale a full range of plants bamboos and trees together with hand carved granite (Lanterns, water basins, stepping stones etc.) and bamboo products.

The Nursery has an extensive range of species both home grown here in England as well as imported from Japan, Korea and China, suitable for both indoor and out door. Friendly nursery staff are always pleased to offer help or advice. Admission to the Nurseries is free.
